Who We Support

The goal of the SBA List Candidate Fund is to increase the percentage of pro-life women in Congress and high public office. To do this the SBA List Candidate Fund:

• recruits and endorses pro-life women candidates, our primary focus,
• endorses pro-life men challenging pro-abortion incumbent Congresswomen,
• endorses pro-life male incumbents challenged by pro-abortion women candidates, and
• endorses pro-life male candidates challenging pro-abortion women candidates in open seats.

Our Campaign Successes

Since 2000, the number of pro-life women in Congress has doubled. The SBA List Candidate Fund has helped elect the first pro-life woman to the U.S. Senate, two pro-life women governors and filled many crucial statewide seats with pro-life women leaders.

Even in 2006, a notably difficult election year, the SBA List Candidate fund found great success. We helped elect a new pro-life woman governor, two new pro-life women Members of Congress, and defended several strong pro-life incumbents. Seven of our pro-life candidates prevailed in head-to-head races again pro-abortion candidates heavily financed by EMILY’s List, a pro-abortion Democratic political action committee.

2008 could not be a better year to expand our successes. With the Presidency, the Supreme Court, and control of Congress all on the line, an influential pro-life political machine is needed now more than ever. Help support our pro-life candidates today!
